Advisory Board Member
A senior banking executive and board director with over 20 years of experience across treasury, financial markets, enterprise risk management and corporate governance in Africa.
Akofa currently serves as Deputy Managing Director of Bank of Africa Kenya. Before this appointment, she was Chief Risk Officer and a member of the Executive Committee of Bank of Africa Ghana, having previously led the bank's Treasury and Financial Markets function. She also serves on the Board of Guinness Ghana Breweries.
Akofa is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a certified Financial Risk Manager and a Chartered Banker. She holds an MBA in Finance and Risk Management, a Bachelor of Laws and a BSc in Biochemistry.
She brings to DevCap deep expertise in risk management, governance and financial strategy, strengthening the firm's approach to disciplined investing and sustainable value creation.
